Job Summary:
Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their team in North Chicago. This is a long-term contract position, and the successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Reliability Engineering Group focused on facilities and utilities systems to ensure reliable and efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential failures and issues, and develop plans to address them.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to ensure efficient operations and reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Participate in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and maintenance.
Qualifications:
• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Maintenance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of reliability engineering principles and methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
