Reliability Engineer
Job Description
Location: Peru, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $80-120K Based on experience

- Develop and implement reliability programs and asset strategies to improve equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs.
- Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and implement corrective actions.
- Utilize predictive maintenance technologies like vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasonic testing, and oil analysis.
- Support capital projects by providing input on equipment design and reliability.
- Collaborate across maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to optimize asset reliability.
- Lead improvement initiatives such as FMEA, FMCA, MTBF, and life cycle analysis.
- Manage the site’s relief system program and related compliance tasks.
- Track and report monthly KPIs related to asset performance and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with safety and industry regulations.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and proactive maintenance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or chemical process environment.
- Strong knowledge of safety policies and maintenance best practices.
- Proficient in CMMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive change.
- Comfortable working in an industrial setting with required PPE.
- Must be eligible to obtain a TWIC badge for facility access.
- 3+ years of reliability or maintenance engineering experience, preferably in a chemical or process industry.
- Familiarity with RCM, predictive maintenance, and asset management strategies.
- Experience conducting root-cause analyses and managing incident investigations.
