Job Summary:
As a Reliability Engineer, your primary responsibilities will involve testing and overseeing the maintenance of production equipment and GMP utilities. You will play a key role in supporting major capital projects and ensuring equipment is maintained in compliance with preventative maintenance systems.
Job Duties:
- Assist in conducting detailed assessments of production equipment reliability, focusing on understanding failure modes and degradation patterns.
- Support the implementation of advanced condition monitoring techniques, including vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and oil analysis, to assess the health of critical equipment.
- Actively participate in root cause analysis efforts for equipment failures, applying methodologies such as 5 Whys or Fault Tree Analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions, addressing not only the symptoms but also the underlying causes of equipment issues.
- Learn and assist in the implementation of Reliability-Centered Maintenance methodologies, ensuring alignment with GMP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement a comprehensive risk management strategy for capital projects, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation plans.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and demonstrating a proactive approach to enhancing reliability engineering practices.
- Participate in training programs designed to deepen understanding of reliability engineering principles and practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related)
- 5+ years of experience as an equipment engineer in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is preferred
- Proven Ability to drive results to achieve financial goals
- Collaborative and inclusive leadership style
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays when operating conditions require
- Ability to physically perform requirements of working in a 24/7 operating facility, to include ability to work in extreme temperatures and be ambulatory in an industrial environment with catwalks and uneven surfaces
