Job Description
- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ammonia Technician to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of our vital ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Maintain & Improve: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Troubleshoot & Diagnose: Quickly identify and resolve system malfunctions.
- Safety First: Ensure strict adherence to all ammonia safety regulations and protocols.
- Install & Commission: Successfully install, test, and commission new ammonia systems.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with contractors and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration systems (food industry preferred).
- Relevant industry certifications (EPA, etc.) a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of ammonia safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
