Refrigeration Engineer
Job Description
- Support our strategic goals with a focus on excellence and product development.
- Develop and document design operations based on customer needs.
- Design and evaluate components for custom projects.
- Select and evaluate alternative vendors for the supply chain.
- Implement change orders.
- Participate in new product development, enhancing designs for energy efficiency and performance.
- Overcome challenges related to refrigeration gases, valve selections, and coil design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Refrigeration Engineering, or 10+ years of experience in refrigeration engineering.
- 4+ years of experience with commercial refrigeration and alternative refrigerants like R448a, A2L’s, Propane, and CO2.
- 4+ years of experience with refrigeration controls strategy.
- Experience with coil/airflow design and testing.
- Understanding of ASHRAE or other regulatory standards is preferred.
- Strong data interpretation skills.
- Experience with statistical methods and tools like Minitab is desired.
- Understanding of CFD and GD&T is a plus.
- Ability to work cross-functionally to develop new technologies and products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
