Location: Onsite – West Columbia, SC
Hire Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $30/hr

We’re seeking a driven Recruiter & Key Account Manager to support one of our largest clients onsite in West Columbia, SC. This role blends hands-on recruiting, contractor care, and strategic account management, giving you the opportunity to directly impact both client success and employee satisfaction.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as the onsite representative of Sterling Engineering at a key client facility.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and proactively source candidates for light industrial and technical roles.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process: sourcing, screening, interviewing, presenting, and coordinating hiring logistics.
  • Deliver a seamless onboarding experience while ensuring compliance with Sterling and client policies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Sterling contractors on-site—supporting performance, attendance, and workplace concerns.
  • Drive contractor engagement and retention by addressing issues with professionalism and urgency.
  • Maintain accurate candidate and employee records in Sterling’s ATS and client systems.
  • Collaborate with Sterling’s internal teams to ensure outstanding client satisfaction.

What You Bring
  • 2-5+ years of recruiting and account management experience, preferably in staffing or talent acquisition.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience filling light industrial and skilled technician roles is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, client-facing role.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency with ATS platforms and Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically as needed.
