Title: Recruiter
Location: Chicago, IL 60626 (near Evanston)
Pay Rate: $45–$50/hour
Hours: Monday – Friday |Hybrid Work Schedule
Hire Type: 12 Month Contract with Possible Extension

Sterling Engineering is partnering with a leading manufacturing organization in the Chicago area to hire a Recruiter for a 12 month contract assignment with possible extension. This role will support full cycle recruiting efforts across professional and technical positions while partnering closely with hiring managers and HR teams to identify and attract top talent in a fast paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage full cycle recruiting activities including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer support
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, team culture, and candidate requirements
  • Develop recruiting strategies to attract high quality candidates across multiple disciplines
  • Utilize LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, social media, networking, and other sourcing tools to identify passive talent
  • Conduct candidate screenings to evaluate qualifications, interest level, and compensation expectations
  • Support candidate experience throughout the hiring process including interview coordination and onboarding activities
  • Maintain accurate recruiting activity and candidate tracking within the applicant tracking system
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal hiring practices
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for future hiring needs 
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience, preferably supporting technical or professional level positions
  • Experience managing multiple requisitions in a fast paced environment
  • Strong sourcing experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruiting platforms
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems
  • Strong communication, organizational, and relationship building skills
  • Ability to partner effectively with hiring managers and cross functional teams
  • Knowledge of employment laws and recruiting best practices
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
