Quality Technician
Job Description
- Perform Precise Dimensional Inspections: Measure and inspect parts and components using calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and other metrology tools.
- Verify Measurement Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of measurements by calibrating tools and verifying instrument precision.
- Inspect Production Parts: Conduct detailed inspections for PPAP and IR components.
- Inspect Prototype Parts: Measure and inspect prototype parts to support engineering development.
- Interpret Technical Specifications: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Document and Report Findings: Record and analyze measurement data, documenting non-conformances and providing feedback.
- Support Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance measurement processes, techniques, and accuracy.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with Quality, Production, and Engineering teams to resolve measurement discrepancies.
- Conduct Gage R&R Studies: Validate measurement processes by conducting Gage R&R studies.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMMs).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
