Hire Type:  CONTRACT-TO-HIRE> $21-$26 per hour depending on experience

Job Summary: 
The Quality Technician I is the project representative for the Quality objectives and focuses on customer product inspection, project material inspection, project non-conformances
 documentation/follow to ground, & out of control and revision product removal.


Job Duties:
 
  1. Acts as the voice of quality when interacting with service, build and supply chain teams
  2. Coordinate and manage project incoming inspection processes for service spares, build product and customer product.
  3. Support collection of data on supplier performance including conformity, project scrap and rework occurrences
  4. Be the project coordinator for documenting, following to ground, and reporting on project based non-conformances.
  5. Provide support, consultation, and direction to shop floor and Project Manager’s relative to Quality.
  6. Support and improve upon inspection practices, and procedures.
  7. Drive and provide support to special projects/initiatives.
  8. Assist with maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality System through performance metrics, training and communications.
  9. Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
 
  1. Educational or Work Experience reading blueprints and measuring parts
  2. Use of common metrology tools/ calibrated measurement instruments ie gauges, micrometers, etc
  3. Familiarity with GD&T is preferable
  4. Experience with International Standardization Organization (ISO) 9001 preferable but not required.
  5. Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with people at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in written form .
  6. Must be comfortable supporting, collaborating and occasionally leading team work and initiatives in inspection
  7. Strong data collection mindset and ability to comply with strict documentation practices.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. 
  9. Must be hands-on and must be able to meet deadlines for his or her responsibilities either directly or indirectly
