Job Description
Sterling Engineering is a growing Chicagoland staffing company that specializes in placing top talent. We have partnered with a packaging manufacturer near the Northlake area on bringing on a Quality Manager to join their growing team. This is the perfect opportunity for a Quality Supervisor/Lead to take the jump to a full scale management role. Company is looking to pay 90k-110k base for the role.
Quality Manager Duties:
- Enhance, establish and maintain all quality systems.
- Establish and maintain a strong customer focus throughout the manufacturing departments and in support of plant-wide operations.
- Ensure effective Product Safety environment with adherence to US FDA, Dairy,
- HACCP, SQF and all other agreed upon product safety requirements.
- Use metrics to assess customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a customer quality feedback system (QVR) and ensure timely follow up and actions are taken.
- Create quality specifications and test methodologies for new and existing products.
- Ensure high quality, cost effective products are supplied to our customers on a timely basis.
What Is Needed?
- Bachelors in a Technical Field
- At least 6 years of quality engineering experience, at least 3 in a supervisor or lead role
- Ability to commute
- ISO 9001 knowledge
- Six Sigma Certification Preferred
