Job Posting: Quality Manager

Pay Range: $80-$95k per year depending on experience.

A leading provider of sheet metal processing solutions is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Manager to join our team. As the Quality Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across our operations in line with our strategic planning, quality policy, and quality management system. Your expertise in defect prevention, inspection, process control, and regulatory activities, such as ISO 9001, will be vital in driving our commitment to excellence.

Minimum Requirements:
A technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A thorough understanding of sheet metal processing.
Management of quality planning and analysis.
Supervisory/management experience.
Knowledge of quality audit procedures.
Defect analysis and reporting.
Continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and procedures.
The ability to use basic measurement equipment, such as a caliper, micrometer, height gauge, length scale, and other necessary tools.
The ability to read customer prints.
A thorough understanding of statistical process control and its applications.
Personal computer literacy.
Excellent communication skills at all levels, with the ability to lead, influence, train, and problem solve.
Understanding of Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) process documents.
Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
Ability to prepare Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation.

Position Responsibilities:
Develop useful and effective cellular process and product metrics.
Review new and revised NPI manufacturing documents to ensure all necessary process steps and quality checks are included to produce a manufacturable, defect-free product.
Interface with customers in a professional manner to conduct initial quality planning activities and address any product quality issues.
Collaborate with supplier quality representatives to discuss and resolve quality problems as required.
Assist with analyzing customer-returned defect products, aiming to fix immediate problems and guide the NPI team in preventing defects in similar products.
Represent the company during all external audits.
Develop a plan to maintain and/or implement all senior management-directed compliance programs, such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485 (Medical), ISO 14000 (Environmental), etc.
Provide technical and aesthetic requirements to production personnel on an as-required basis.
Initiate the corrective action requirements for non-conformances found during internal product and process audits, quality management system audits, and receipt of defective supplier material.
Meet with suppliers and customers' quality representatives to discuss and resolve quality problems as required.
Perform other work as assigned or directed.
