Quality Control Manager
Job Description
- Manage quality control team consisting of CMM programmers, Inspectors, Technicians etc.
- Ensure all CMMs, Gages, inspection equipment are calibrated and maintained.
- Manage training requirements and documentation for all QC employees.
- Provide guidance, training, and direction to ensure accurate and efficient inspection procedures are followed in support of
production and customer requirements - Collaborate with cross functional teams to analyze discrepancies and non-conformances, identify root causes, implement
corrective actions. - Direct and assist with FAIR’s, PPAP’s, Statistical studies etc.
- Support QEs in terms of customer complaints, SCARs, source inspection, audits, etc.
- Provide regular feedback on KPI’s to management and employees.
- Maintain QC related procedures, work instructions, controlled documents, inspection records, etc.
- Ensure that QMS is being followed, assist with internal audits as needed to support ISO, AS, NADCAP, customer and
regulatory requirements. - Aware of quality policies, procedures, objectives, contribution to conformance of product, safety and ethics.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor
- 10 years minimum working in quality control related to machined components.
- 5 years minimum in a management role with responsibilities with a minimum of 5 or more direct reports.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in CMM programming
- Strong GD&T and drawing interpretation skills
- Experience with ISO and AS and NADCAP specifications and requirements.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
