Quality Inspector (Medical Devices)
Job Description
- Inspect raw materials, subassemblies, and finished products using visual, dimensional, mechanical, and electronic methods.
- Perform in-process and final inspections per work instructions, control plans, and engineering drawings.
- Accurately document results, issue non-conformance reports, and support root cause investigations and CAPA.
- Verify calibration status of inspection and test equipment.
- Prepare inspection documentation and support internal/external audits.
- Contribute to inspection procedure improvements and continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Lean, Kaizen).
- Ensure adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS) and regulatory compliance standards.
- High school diploma/GED required; Associate Degree or technical certification preferred.
- 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a regulated industry (medical devices strongly preferred).
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and GD&T.
- Skilled with inspection and metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, multimeters, torque drivers).
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, ISO 13485, cGMP, and quality documentation systems.
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
