Quality Manager
Job Description
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 15 quality auditors across three shifts.
- Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the quality department.
- Partner with production and operations teams to ensure alignment on quality standards and consistency across shifts.
- Oversee daily quality activities to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Manage and maintain controlled documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GMP and company standards.
- Coordinate document updates, scanning, filing, and distribution.
- Print and issue official document copies as requested by departments.
- Review production records for completeness and compliance prior to product release, reporting any deviations or irregularities.
- Input and maintain quality data within computer systems and databases with precision and efficiency.
- Analyze data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for process improvement.
- Prepare and present data reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct in-process quality inspections and line clearances to verify adherence to specifications.
- Audit packaging components (bottles, cases, closures, labels, etc.) and document hourly quality checks including:
- Immediately halt production and escalate to management when deviations or quality issues are identified.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues promptly and prevent recurrence.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably blow molding or plastics).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and document management platforms.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet productivity standards.
