Job Title: Quality Engineer – Logistics
Location: Memphis, TN (100% Onsite)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm.
Compensation: $30/hour
Contract Duration: Estimated until March 2026 (Covering for an employee on leave)
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Quality Engineer to join our team at our Memphis, TN facility. This is a 100% onsite position, where you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining quality procedures related to packaging and the shipment of goods. You’ll work directly with our clients to understand their quality expectations and ensure logistics operations meet or exceed those standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality procedures and inspection protocols for the packaging and shipment of manufactured goods
- Collaborate with clients to understand their quality standards, packaging requirements, and compliance needs
- Conduct audits and quality checks on outgoing shipments to verify packaging integrity and accuracy
- Identify and resolve quality issues in logistics processes, including packaging defects, labeling errors, and shipping damage
- Analyze data and trends related to quality performance and recommend continuous improvement initiatives
- Create and maintain documentation related to quality standards, corrective actions, and client communication
- Support training of logistics and warehouse personnel on quality procedures and best practices
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client quality concerns and coordinate timely resolutions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0.5 -2 years of experience in a quality-focused role, ideally within logistics, warehousing, or packaging
- Strong understanding of packaging quality standards, shipping procedures, and root cause analysis
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with clients in a professional and solutions-oriented manner
- Experience with quality tools and methods (e.g., 8D, CAPA, FMEA, ISO standards) is a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and basic data analysis
