Job Duties:
- Monitors daily operations to ensure quality products are produced and maintains a safe work environment.
- Supports HACCP, SSOP, and SOP programs through review and documentation of required paperwork.
- Oversees pre-op inspections, shipping pre-shipments, and monitors production quality.
- Conducts annual GMP, HACCP, and Allergen training and holds monthly QA and Safety meetings.
- Trains technicians quarterly and maintains positive relations with USDA Inspector.
- Supervises department for compliance with policies and objectives and oversees the work activities and professional training of direct reports.
- Implements and enforces policies and procedures to improve overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
- Conducts interviews, performance appraisals, onboarding, and disciplinary meetings.
- Monitors employee adherence to company rules and policies and suggests ways to control labor and supply costs and improve processes.
- Ensures work activities adhere to quality, safety, legal, and food safety requirements with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Follows company policies and GMPs, maintains safety awareness, and reports any safety-related issues to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Food Science or related field preferred.
- Associate’s Degree required.
- Three (3) years Quality Assurance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of one (1) year Supervisory experience.
- Previous experience in a food facility preferred.
