Title: Quality Assurance Specialist 
Location: Bartlett, IL 
Hire Type: Direct Hire 
Target Pay Rate: $50K - $60,300K 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support our Quality Control Manager and Assistant Manager with pre-shipment and document record reviews, ensuring product quality and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Shipment Record Review: Assess and verify records to ensure all standards are met before shipment.
  • Finished Product Releases: Oversee and approve finished product releases, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Daily Records Review: Review daily quality control records to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Record Maintenance: Organize and maintain records to ensure they are readily available for audits.
  • Data Collection & Statistics: Support data collection and statistical analysis for new products.
  • Audit Preparation: Assist the Quality Assurance team with audit preparations and calibrations.
  • Client/Customer Relations: Maintain communication with clients/customers regarding specifications and documentation.
  • R&D Collaboration: Work with R&D on updating recipes and formulas as needed.
  • Customer Complaint Investigations: Assist in investigating and resolving customer complaints.
  • Project Support: Aid in the implementation of new projects.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Experience: 1-2 years in Quality Assurance within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Certifications: HACCP and BRC certified.
  • Knowledge: Basic principles of microbiology, biochemistry, organic and inorganic chemistry.
  • Technology Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JDE, and Outlook.
  • Skills: Strong multi-tasking, leadership, and organizational skills. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Traits: Team player with strong mathematical aptitude and analytical proficiency.
