Overview: Sterling Engineering / Staffing is currently looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector for one of our clients in the Winston Salem, NC area. Sterling has a rich history of delivering top talent to our clients. Shift: Monday – Friday
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
  • Opportunity for OT on Saturdays (not required but encouraged on Saturdays for 1st Shift)
 
Hourly Rate: $18-20/hr

Job Description:
Day-to-day product and process audits that monitor production activities and generate performance data. This also includes collecting and maintaining build records and documentations while rotating through the facility to build broad product knowledge.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct product audits/inspections on major subassemblies and final products during and after production has completed their operations to see if the unit meets specifications and needs of fitness for use
  • Conduct in-process monitoring while product is being assembled and recording the associated defect data
  • Provide audit coverage and complete audit summaries for review with Quality Supervisor and distribution
  • Complete documentation requirements, e.g., Change Control, Height Sheets, Weights, Unit Folders, Inspection Records
  • Perform Quality System audits
Qualifications and Experience:
  • High School Education or GED
  • Basic math skills
  • Intermediate computer skills (Outlook, data entry, Microsoft Excel)
  • Ability to read engineering drawings a plus
  • Interpret measurements, read measuring devices like gauges, calipers, etc.
  • Problem-solving abilities; identifying process problems and non-conformances
