Title: Purchaser 
Location: University Park, IL 
Hire Type: 6+ month contract

Job Duties:
  • Develop and improve sourcing strategy with internal clients, fully lead, execute, and manage sourcing projects:  RFQ process, supplier selection, award and transition, establish processes for clear project hand-off, if needed, to tactical personnel. Follow the processes established in the Supplier Partnership Program for all supplier interaction.
  • Coaching and mentoring other team members in the areas of sound tactical purchasing practices in accordance with the most current process work instructions as needed
  • Lead or participate in pricing/contract negotiations for, and in conjunction with other members of the site level team
Qualifications:
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain from an accredited university, MBA or equivalent (preferred)
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in procurement or other supply chain function with demonstrated ability to perform essential functions
