Sterling Engineering has partnered with our premiere client looking for a Project Scheduler in Operational Readiness on a greenfield manufacturing facility.  This is a 24-month contract that is onsite 3 days a week.  In this role you will be part of the leadership team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience building the organization to enable a successful startup into a GMP manufacturing operations. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Scheduling: Create, monitor, and analyze project schedules in accordance with the standard of best project practice1. Use project management tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project to track, analyze, and report information appropriately to allow the project teams to manage their projects and evaluate weekly reports.
  • Communication: Ensure an open communication system is available where all stakeholders are informed about changes to established schedules. Act as a communicator within the project team, ensuring that all entities are notified of any established schedule modifications through a transparent dialogue.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential difficulties in the schedule and provide help with corrective measures. Suggest corrective actions to keep the project on scope, budget, and time1.
  • Reporting: Prepare, implement, and monitor scopes of work using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for control and integrity1. Create and publish high-level integrated master schedules in accordance with the requirements or needs of the necessary stakeholders1.
  • Training and Support: Provide P6 training and support to preconstruction and project management teams.
Skills Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or other relevant discipline. 
  • Minimum two to three years of experience in project scheduling and two to three years of experience working in pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry. 
  • Experience working in a GMP environment preferred. 
  • Robust scheduling skills in project management, Primavera P6, and project control.
  • Proficiency in mathematics, knowledge of customer support, and intensive orientation to details.
  • Ability to work closely with technical experts, project leads, and project managers in planning, creating, and managing project schedules.
  • Experience in the engineering and construction industry, or in software development.
