Project Estimator / Sales Quoting
Job Description
Location: Buffalo Grove, IL (NW Suburbs)
Hire Type: Contract to Hire (6 months)
Salary: $70K–$85K
Benefits: Bonus, profit sharing, and 401(k) match offered upon conversion to direct hire
- Develop accurate and timely quotes for a wide range of technical projects
- Interact cross-functionally with various teams including engineering and field service
- Quote projects typically ranging from $50K–$100K, with 2–3 high-level projects per quarter valued between $500K–$10M
- Manage a high volume of quotes while maintaining attention to detail and fast turnaround times
- Ensure clear communication of project specifications, timelines, and pricing with both internal teams and clients
- 3–5 years of quoting or estimating experience preferred
- Associates or Bachelors in Engineering
- Experience in at least one of the following industries:
- Power Generation (Generators)
- HVAC
- Data Centers / Server Rooms
- Construction Projects
- Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with project-based environments
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple quotes with a strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
