Job Summary:
- The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and completion of capital projects within the manufacturing industry. This role involves developing business cases, managing project budgets and schedules, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to engineering and project management standards.
Job Duties:
- Business Case Development: Develop and audit business cases for capital projects, including assessing project benefits, paybacks, and ROI.
- Project Management: Lead project management efforts, including defining project scope, coordinating tasks, allocating budgets, scheduling, and staffing.
- Project Execution: Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to project management methodology, financial controls, and quality standards. Monitor project progress, address issues, and report status to stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with project resources, stakeholders, and contractors to develop strategic action plans, implement changes, and ensure project success.
- Evaluation and Reporting: Conduct project evaluations, capture lessons learned, and validate capital project metrics. Prepare and deliver project status reports and close-out reports.
- Compliance: Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure safety and compliance with environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably in dairy, food & beverage, or liquid manufacturing
- Strong project management background with a proven track record
- PMP certification preferred
- Developed leadership skills
- Initiative-taker with a positive and proactive mindset
- Strong business acumen and effective communication skills
- Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast-paced environment
