Job Description
Sterling Engineering is a recruiting firm based out of the Western Chicagoland Suburbs. We have partnered up with a growing company in the manufacturer space on bringing in a Project Engineer to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a up, and coming engineer to work a cross-functional role. Company will deal with heavy hitters in the nuclear industry. This company will provide great mentorship, and plentiful growth opportunities. Salary for this role is 70-90k.
Overview of Role:
- Create detailed manufacturing drawings, coordinating with Operations, Sales, Customers, and/or Vendors to ensure that the products meet the customer’s specifications
- Updating existing drawings with “as built” changes as needed
- Perform 3D design related work
- Work with Operations and Vendors to obtain quotes and to ensure timely and quality production of products, especially with more complex projects
- Visit vendors to QC products and work out details as needed
Qualifications Desired:
- BS in Engineering related field
- At least 1-2 years of experience in an engineering related field (preferably a mechanical, project, or applications engineering role
- Experience in SolidWorks design preferred, some sort of 3D CAD design a must
- Experience dealing in large steel parts
