Job Description

Sterling Engineering has been working with a longtime client of ours in the steel/metals industry on bringing in a design engineering expert to join their team. This individual will be a subject matter expert and will handle complex design projects. Not only will this person be focused on mechanical type work, but will also have a hand in manufacturing engineering type work as well. $$$$: 75-88k

Responsibilities:
  • Create overall basis of design and parameters to be followed for specific processes/project
  • Prepare engineering calculations, documents, and equipment specifications to meet scope of work while applying good judgement and engineering principles
  • Establish and manage mechanical engineering schedule and budget objectives on assigned projects
  • Help coordinates work performed by outside contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants.
  • Support Maintenance and plant activities during off hours as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (or any engineering related field)
  • At least 2 years of design engineering experience
  • SolidWorks and AutoCad strongly preferred
