Job Summary:
This position is responsible for developing and reviewing engineered pipeline construction drawings. Engineers shall work closely with drafters, designers and management to execute on project design work including creating drawings, reviewing drawings, completing calculations, and interacting with the project team and client. Engineers will be required to understand processes and technical design requirements to ensure drawings meet company and client specifications and standards
Job Duties:
- Applying sound engineering knowledge of utility engineering principles and practices with
training and guidance from other engineers and managers - Performing a variety of engineering calculations and tasks to assist in the production of plans,
specifications, permits and other engineering documents - Performing quality assurance audits to ensure all designs follow prescribed processes and are
completed according to specifications and quality requirements - Communicating clearly with Drafters and Designers regarding design markups and standards
- Communicate clearly with Project Manager regarding questions, allowable hours, allowable
timeframe and any anticipated delays in project schedule
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in an Engineering field
- Must have graduated from an ABET accredited school
- Must be eligible to sit for the FE and PE exams
- Hands on experience using AutoCad or MicroStation software
- Prior experience in civil design or pipeline/facilities design and full understanding of reading
civil plans - RNG, Biogas and/or Hydrogen design experience is a plus
- Mid-stream, Upstream, storage, station experience is not needed but is a plus
- Strong work ethic, self-driven and a desire to work in a production environment is very
important - Ability and desire to work and communicate remotely with peers and leadership
