Job Summary:
We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team as part of the corporate engineering group, you'll play a pivotal role in achieving our business goals by identifying, preparing, and overseeing various projects related to facility construction, processing, and packaging. This role will involve managing projects such as equipment installation, production line enhancements, and safety engineering initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you'll collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Engineering teams.

Job Duties:
  • Act as the onsite engineering liaison during the construction phase, coordinating with the corporate engineering group, general contractor, and subcontractors.
  • Support the installation of production equipment and provide technical expertise during startup and ongoing operations.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations to troubleshoot issues and optimize production efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and execute/manage capital projects.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in a food processing facility or CPG manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record in managing capital projects.
  • Strong knowledge of food processing equipment and hygienic design principles.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; SolidWorks experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5-10% for project-related work at other domestic facilities and vendor sites.
