Sterling Engineering is looking for a Project Controls Specialist in Willowbrook, IL. This opportunity is with a growing and established construction organization working on electrical and gas infrastructure projects.

Job Duties:
  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules (Primavera P6 & MS Project) from bid phase to completion.
  • Track project progress, costs, and resources; provide accurate and timely reporting to leadership.
  • Identify and resolve schedule conflicts and risks before they affect project delivery.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Field Supervisors to coordinate milestones and keep work on track.
  • Support change management with schedule impact analysis.
  • Train and mentor team members on project controls best practices.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of scheduling experience in construction (electrical/gas a plus).
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project (PENTA experience a plus).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and understand field processes.
  • Collaborative, proactive mindset with strong attention to detail.
