Project Civil Engineer
Job Description
- We are hiring for a Project Engineer to join our team for business and contribute to multi-discipline design projects. This person will have the opportunity to lead a variety of public and private site development projects across various markets!
- Preparation of engineering design drawings from schematic design through construction documents (engineering reports, technical specifications, etc.) as well as municipal site plan submissions and cost breakdowns for municipal bonding.
- Meet with clients and regulatory agencies.
- Delegate project workload to Junior Engineers & Drafters; this involves monitoring schedules and budgets to ensure effective completion of projects accordingly.
- Mentor / guide and support junior-level staff.
- Complete field inspections, as needed.
- Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline).
- 7+ years of professional experience working in Engineering, preferably with design projects.
- PE in NJ (we will consider candidates who are able to successfully obtain their PE within 6 months of their start date).
- Management and/or Project Management experience is preferred.
- Experience working on greenfield / land development projects.
- Advanced proficiency with site design functions: site layout, grading, utility design, storm water management, erosion control, municipal & land-use regulatory approvals, etc.
