Professional Services Technician

Sterling Engineering is a growing Chicagoland recruiting firm that specializes in placing top talent. We have partnered with a growing company dealing in IT solutions on adding a couple of early career Service Technicians to join their growing team.

Location: Near Darien, IL

Type of Role: Contract to hire

Rate: $21/hr

Job Overview:

• Learns and follows standard conventions for hardware and software installation, problem diagnosis, and problem resolution. Provide technical support over the phone using remote access software as well as on-site support.
• Provide on-call technical support. Must be able to troubleshoot problems over the phone with customers.
• Communicate with Manufacturers and QA on field issues and provide feedback on new product.
• Communicate with customers.
• Relays any special problems to service management following each call.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors OR Associates in a related IT field preferred
• At least 3-6 months of IT experience
• Must be available to travel to customer sites as needed
• Must be able to live in Chicagoland area, no relocation assistance provided
