Production lead (6p to 6a 12 hr 2/2/3)
Job Description
- Adheres to company safety and quality policies and procedures.
- Supports the direction set by the Production Shift Supervisor.
- Supervises hourly employees performing various production operations and enforces applicable rules, programs, and procedures.
- Provides on-the-job training, ensuring new or reassigned employees operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Manages labor within the assigned department, reallocating personnel as needed to optimize efficiency.
- Monitors production operations to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and production standards, taking corrective action as necessary.
- Reports potential production downtime, scrap production, and machine performance, summarizing shift data.
- Ensures adherence to plant safety and accident prevention policies, including maintaining a safe work environment and conducting accident investigations when necessary.
- Wears all required personal protective equipment.
- Maintains housekeeping of work areas.
Qualifications:
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Some post-secondary education preferred (i.e., Technical or vocational education).
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shift
- Certified forklift driver
- Must have good communications and people skills.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must have good attendance record and an employee in good standing
