Title: Production Supervisor
Location: Chicago, IL (Greater Chicago Area)
Hire Type: Direct Hire / Full-Time
Shift/Hours: 1st Shift
Base Salary: $80k - $95k

Job Duties:
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the production floor, overseeing hourly employees in the ingredient toll manufacturing division to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Continuously analyze, track, and improve production, downtime, and equipment performance to enhance safety, quality, and output.
- Organize and balance production workflows by coordinating with staffing agencies to ensure the proper labor force is available to meet production schedules.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and equipment issues, utilizing the company’s CMMS system to enter work orders for repairs and improvements.
- Ensure the consistent production of high-quality products by maintaining compliance with company food safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Motivate, train, and mentor production staff, including Team Leads and Laborers, fostering a culture of teamwork and adherence to EHS and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as EHS, Quality, and Maintenance to achieve plant goals and resolve technical challenges.
- Drive and implement performance management initiatives, assisting in hiring, disciplinary actions, and performance recommendations to ensure adherence to company policies.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and OSHA requirements, participating in safety observations and completing accident/near-miss reports.
- Issue and review all necessary documentation for daily production, ensuring accurate reporting and data integrity for senior management.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; an Associate’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience, specifically within the food industry.
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is required to effectively lead and communicate with the production staff.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example, motivating teams to achieve production goals while fostering a positive, high-performance culture.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with EHS, quality, and maintenance teams.
