Production Supervisor (Administrative)
Job Description
- Compile daily production reports detailing shift output, post-production activities, IML label management, downtime, overtime, scrap levels, major issues, and corrective actions.
- Ensure employees are at their workstations at the start of their shift.
- Communicate any changes, such as procedures, schedules, and safety rules, to all employees.
- Maintain professional, effective, and productive relationships with superiors, peers, subordinates, and other departments.
- Ensure all employees adhere to company GMP, sanitation, prerequisite programs, chemical control, and food safety plans and policies.
- Direct, train, develop, and document all employee training..
- Investigate and resolve any reported food packaging safety issues, and notify plant management of these problems.
- Ensure the Production Department operates at maximum efficiency with minimal downtime, producing the highest quality packaging at the lowest possible cost.
- Perform molding machine startups with the technical team and correct non-conformances using scientific molding and root-cause analysis techniques.
- Oversee mold changes, IML line startups, shutdowns, and label changeovers.
- Troubleshoot molding issues such as flash, short shots, and dimensional problems.
- Train and develop the machine operating staff.
- Identify knowledge and skill gaps among operators and other molding personnel, and develop training plans to address these gaps using internal or external resources.
- Coordinate and oversee all resin and color samplings.
