Title: Production Supervisor
Location:  Zumbrota, Minnesota
Shift & Schedule
  • Hours: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
  • Schedule: 2-2-3 (Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, etc.)
Pay Rate: $80,000 – $85,000 per year
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401K  

We're seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead a critical shift in our Zumbrota manufacturing facility. This role ensures smooth day-to-day operations, drives production goals, maintains food safety and quality standards, and fosters a culture of safety and accountability. If you're a proactive leader with a background in food manufacturing and a passion for process improvement—this is your opportunity to lead and grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate day-to-day production activities (e.g., milk receiving, cheese production, pasteurization, drying).
  • Ensure products meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Monitor production equipment and coordinate timely repairs or maintenance.
  • Train and develop production employees on safety, procedures, and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Drive continuous improvement using tools like 5S, Kaizen, and Poke Yoke.
  • Maintain and support all regulatory, food safety, and sanitation requirements (USDA, MDA, SQF).
  • Manage scheduling, timekeeping (Kronos), and employee performance reviews.
  • Support cross-functional teams including Maintenance, Lab, and Warehouse.
  • Promote and enforce a strong culture of safety; conduct accident investigations and timely reporting.

What You’ll Need
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing process flow and supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond effectively under pressure
  • Familiarity with SAP, Kronos, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fluent in English (read, write, speak)
