Overview:
Growing manufacturer of engineered material handling and conveyor systems is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate production schedules, project timelines, and resource planning for complex conveyor assembly projects. This highly visible role is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed schedules in Microsoft Project (MS Project), creating Gantt charts, supporting resource planning, and ensuring projects remain on schedule from engineering through production and shipment. The ideal candidate has experience with MS Project, production scheduling, resource planning, and cross-functional coordination in a manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an Industrial Engineer or Production Planner looking to grow with an established and expanding manufacturer while making a direct impact on project execution. 

Job Duties: 

• Develop and maintain production schedules using Microsoft Project (MS Project)
• Create, update, and manage Gantt charts to track project progress and milestones
• Coordinate production timelines for conveyor assembly and manufacturing projects
• Support resource planning and production capacity planning across multiple projects
• Work closely with engineering, production, purchasing, project management, and vendors to ensure materials and resources are available when needed
• Monitor project schedules, identify conflicts or delays, and recommend schedule adjustments
• Coordinate shipment timing to meet customer delivery deadlines
• Communicate schedule updates and project status across multiple departments
• Utilize MS Project to improve scheduling accuracy and visibility
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to production scheduling and resource planning

Qualifications: 

• Required experience using Microsoft Project (MS Project)
• Strong ability to create and manage Gantt charts in MS Project
• Experience with production planning, scheduling, manufacturing operations, or industrial engineering
• Knowledge of resource planning and production capacity planning
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
