Production Manager
Job Description
- Responsible for the management and improvement of all functions involved in the day to day activities regarding manufacturing including production, process engineering, quality, maintenance and inventory control.
- Reorganization of factory layout based on lean manufacturing principles.
- Responsible for setting, monitoring and achievement of improvement targets on major KPI’s in line with group objectives.
- Must maintain and improve facilities and equipment.
- Manage all inventory functions coordinating closely with Purchasing and Customer Service.
- Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
- Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight and repair expenses.
- Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.
- Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
- Provides direction, training, development and leadership to direct reports.
- To ensure compliance with all Quality standards and procedures per customers’ requirements.
- Responsible for implementing appropriate health, safety and environmental programs.
- To ensure a safe and environmentally compliant workplace.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in manufacturing and/or plant management.
- Hands on experience with effective sustainability of lean manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of material systems, purchasing, MRP, BOM structure. (Knowledge of Microsoft ERP systems a plus)
