Job Summary:
  • We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Production Manager to lead and oversee our production supervisors in ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing operations. The Production Manager plays a critical role in managing day-to-day production activities, implementing policies and procedures, and driving continuous improvements in production methods, equipment, and working conditions.

Job Duties:
  • Manage, develop, and motivate direct reports (production supervisors).
  • Ensure effective employee relations and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Enforce strict adherence to Health & Safety rules, regulations, and programs.
  • Help supervisors identify areas for improvement and provide necessary training.
  • Ensure product quality meets specifications and aligns with quality systems.
  • Strive to optimize production results by balancing quality, cost, safety, and morale.
  • Encourage problem-solving and troubleshooting skills among employees.
  • Collaborate closely with the Scheduling department to maximize overall company performance.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on production-related performance.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, or four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of managerial experience leading a department with a minimum of 3 salaried supervisors and 100 employees.
  • Intermediate language skills, including reading, interpreting documents, and effective written and verbal communication.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills for calculating figures and amounts.
  • High reasoning ability to solve practical problems and handle various concrete variables in situations where standardization is limited.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including manufacturing software, payroll systems, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is required.
  • Experience with packaging machinery/systems is preferred.
  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are a plus.
