Job Title: Production Manager – 2nd Shift
 Location: Romeoville , IL
Target Pay Rate: $80K -105K plus a 10-15% bonus w/ 3 weeks of PTO

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 2nd Shift Production Manager to join our team in Brockton, MA. This role will assist the Plant Manager in developing and implementing production standards that drive efficiency, safety, and product quality. You will oversee daily production operations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Leadership
  • Lead and manage daily plant production operations on the 2nd shift.
  • Supervise and support production supervisors and line staff to meet or exceed safety, quality, service, and cost metrics.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs, develop action plans, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage production scheduling and ensure timely delivery of products to meet sales demands.
Food Safety & Quality
  • Enforce all company GMPs, HACCP, Food Defense, and Allergen protocols.
  • Ensure production documentation is complete, legible, and accurate.
  • Maintain an inspection-ready production area at all times.
  • Address and resolve any food safety or equipment concerns with urgency.
Policy & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct walkthroughs to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure the team follows all SOPs, company rules, and safety procedures.
Personnel Management
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop production employees.
  • Monitor team performance and foster a culture of accountability and engagement.
  • Promote a positive work environment and strong employee relations.
Maintenance & Safety
  • Partner with maintenance to keep equipment operating efficiently.
  • Ensure all staff utilize appropriate PPE and follow safety protocols.
  • Conduct safety training and support incident prevention and investigation.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years of food manufacturing experience, including managerial responsibility
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of production processes and regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Basic accounting and budgetary understanding
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Bilingual English/Spanish language skills (reading, writing, translating)
