Job Summary:
Implement and control both immediate and long-term Engineering projects in Molding Manufacturing department. Achieve high operational efficiency and improve cost effectiveness as well as customer satisfaction. Provide manufacturing engineering support to all production departments as required. Identify, develop & implement advanced tooling, technology, processes, products and equipment.
Job Duties:
- Develop, implement and upgrade injection molding tooling, equipment, and technologies.
- Examine and analyze day-to-day operating activities seeking out areas of improvement; define, promote, automate where feasible, and implement resolution. Monitor and report results.
- Investigate and eliminate equipment failures.
- Provide manufacturing engineering support across all Production departments.
Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial and/or Plastics) or higher degree is preferred
- Certification in a related discipline is a plus
- 7 years of progressive injection molding experience inclusive of: processing of plastics, part design, mold design, equipment specification development and plastic part failure analysis.
- Subject Matter Expertise in injection molding equipment, tooling, insert molding, multiple material molding automation, and risk analysis.
- Experienced in the application of the Validation Life Cycle (Change Control, URS, FRS, Commissioning, IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Good Practice Guidelines (GxP) and medical device manufacturing experience is preferred
