Shift: 1st Shift | Preferred 8a–5p (flexible to 7a–3p)
Pay: $25–$27/hr (Depending on experience)

General Purpose:
The Product Engineering Technician provides critical support to the Product Engineering team by managing documentation, processing engineering changes, and maintaining system data related to product builds. This role is highly detail-oriented and documentation-focused, supporting BOM management, item creation, and engineering change processes within internal systems. The technician will work behind the scenes to ensure accurate data flow, support procedure management, and help maintain operational continuity. This is a trainable, entry-level opportunity ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, a willingness to learn, and an interest in manufacturing systems and engineering support.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Support Product Engineers with processing Bills of Materials (BOMs), item creation, and system updates.
  • Process engineering change orders (ECOs), deviations, and documentation updates.
  • Load and maintain item data within ERP systems (Agile, BAAN, or similar).
  • Create, update, and manage work instructions, procedures, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure accurate documentation control and version management across systems.
  • Assist with part number creation and BOM structure maintenance.
  • Track and manage engineering changes using internal systems and Excel-based trackers.
  • Support indirect procurement activities and basic inventory coordination as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Interact with production teams to understand processes for accurate documentation, though not directly involved in production.
  • Document process changes and communicate updates back to engineering teams.
  • Maintain organized records of all documentation, revisions, and system updates.
  • Identify and support opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering support, document control, or related field preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer systems.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Agile, BAAN, Oracle, or similar) is a plus.
  • Experience with BOMs, part numbers, or engineering documentation preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills in a documentation-heavy environment.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Manufacturing or industrial environment exposure preferred.
