Schedule: 2-2-3 rotation
Shifts Available: 7 am - 7 pm & 7 pm - 7 am
Location: Richmond, Indiana
Pay Rate: $65K-$80K DOE

Description:
We are seeking a Processing Supervisor to join our team in Richmond, Indiana. In this role, you will provide work direction and supervision to production employees, ensuring compliance with work rules, union contract provisions, and employment policies. You will monitor all stages of the production process to ensure the accurate processing of products and customer order fulfillment. This role demands accountability in promoting safety, food safety, and quality standards. As a leader, you will mentor and coach your team, fostering a productive work environment while meeting daily production goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and assign work to production employees, ensuring daily production goals are met.
  • Supervise operations on the production floor in a unionized environment.
  • Maintain production goals while upholding GMP and safety requirements.
  • Build trusting relationships with employees while holding them accountable.
  • Monitor various operations (e.g., milk receiving, pasteurization, packaging) to meet production and quality standards.
  • Oversee equipment functionality, ensuring timely repair and proper sanitation.
  • Promote safe work behaviors and conduct accident investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality regulations.
  • Supervise production scheduling to meet demand and productivity goals.
  • Seek opportunities to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Foster positive working relationships and administer employee policies consistently.
  • Communicate effectively with employees through meetings and informal interactions.
  • Handle supervisory duties including performance evaluations, training, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Adhere to all GMP and food safety requirements.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an undergraduate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food and/or beverage manufacturing.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in team lead or supervisory roles.
  • Familiarity with food production is a plus.
  • Comfortable with a rotating schedule.
  • Certifications or licenses may be required during employment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing process flows and continuous improvement models.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and foster teamwork.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with others.
  • Capable of independent planning and organizing of tasks.
  • Initiative-driven with the ability to follow through on responsibilities.
  • Must be fluent in English, both spoken and written.
