Process Technician / Operator - 2nd Shift
Job Description
Location: Manchester, PA 17345
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Pay: $22-$25/hour (flexible for experienced candidates)
- Start up and operate production machinery and verify proper machine settings
- Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to maintain efficient operation
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform minor mechanical maintenance and cleaning
- Verify correct materials, labels, and packaging components are being used for each production run
- Perform in-process quality inspections and check product samples against specifications
- Record production, downtime, and quality data and complete required documentation
- Restart equipment following maintenance or repairs and escalate major issues to supervision
- Maintain housekeeping standards and follow all safety procedures and policies
- Assist with line changeovers and close out production runs
- Support training of other operators as needed and provide coverage for breaks
- Communicate equipment or quality concerns to supervisors and maintenance personnel
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of machine operation experience in manufacturing (packaging, plastics, printing, or similar production environment preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Experience working with automated production equipment and basic measuring tools (calipers, gauges, scales)
- Ability to perform basic math calculations including fractions, percentages, and measurements
- Basic computer skills for data entry and production reporting
- Ability to read work instructions, diagrams, and production schedules
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) preferred
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with moving machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
