Process Technician - Machine Operator (3rd, 2nd & 1st Shift)
Job Description
- Assume daily responsibility for assigned production equipment, ensuring consistent operation, efficiency, and product quality throughout the shift.
- Coordinate with the outgoing shift to ensure a seamless transition and quickly take control of machine operations, adjustments, and settings.
- Monitor product output by inspecting containers to confirm they meet required specifications; identify issues, make corrections, and document findings as needed.
- Ensure raw materials are properly stocked, equipment is maintained, and workstations remain clean, organized, and production-ready.
- Adhere to all safety policies, including proper use of PPE, and actively contribute to a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain housekeeping standards by cleaning equipment and work areas and assisting with general plant upkeep as required.
- Follow established production procedures and remain focused on meeting daily performance and output goals as part of a team-driven environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to support business needs, including overtime or occasional after-hours meetings.
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and assist with additional tasks or responsibilities as production demands evolve.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience operating machinery in a plastics or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and adjust equipment settings.
- Experience with blow molding equipment and general knowledge of plastic materials is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and production documentation.
- High level of attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
