Job Description

Title: Injection Molding Technician (2nd Shift)
Location: Sauk Village, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $32-35 an hour 
Must have: Thorough knowledge of mold setups and startups 
 
Job Duties:
  • Understand and enforce all established safety, health, quality GMP, and company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
  • Conduct mold changes and set up IML and downstream automation.
  • Initiate molding machine startups.
  • Troubleshoot nonconforming parts.
  • Diagnose and resolve basic molding, automation, and process issues.
  • Set up, start up, and process IML automation, including required label changes.
  • Assist with the assembly and disassembly of tooling as needed.
  • Participate in tooling, resin, and colorant sampling.
  • Support the Process Manager in evaluating new mold and automation start-ups.
  • Assist the Process Manager in reviewing production-related activities, including scrap, cycle times, IML, and parts handling automation.

  Qualifications:
  • Thorough knowledge of mold setup and startup is required.
  • Understanding of injection tooling components, including hot runner molds.
  • Preferred experience in processing thin wall food packages.
  • Experience in In-Mold Labeling setup and startup is a plus.
  • Preferred experience in stack mold installation and setup.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Competence in carrying out food packaging safety and quality responsibilities is essential.
