Job Title:  Process Safety Engineer (Manufacturing)
Location:  North Chicago, IL
Hire Type:  Long-term Contract, Onsite
Target Pay Rate:  $55.00/hour (W2, with full employee benefits)

Job Summary: 
The Process Safety Engineer will ensure the safety and integrity of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. As a Process Safety Engineer, you'll assess, analyze, and implement safety measures to protect our employees, assets, and the environment.

Job Duties:
  • Conduct risk assessments (HAZOP, PHA, FMEA) to identify hazards.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop and implement safety strategies.
  • Lead continuous improvement of the Process Safety Management program.
  • Review and update P&IDs, SOPs, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s in Chemical or Safety Engineering (or related field).
  • 5+ years of experience in process safety, ideally in pharma.
  • Knowledge of process safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with process safety tools/software.
  • Process Safety Professional Certification is a plus.
