Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to support and optimize injection molding operations. This role is responsible for maintaining robust molding processes that ensure maximum machine performance, safety, and product quality. The Process Engineer will lead continuous improvement initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide hands-on technical support to ensure efficient and consistent production.

Responsibilities
  • Support daily plant operations by optimizing molding processes for safety, efficiency, and quality.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems to monitor and improve production performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and materials teams to evaluate and integrate new resins, additives, and manufacturing technologies.
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs for molds and injection molding machines.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on process innovation, product quality, and cost reduction.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for molding equipment, tooling, and auxiliary systems.
  • Conduct component evaluations and testing for new molds, materials, and equipment installations.
  • Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for molding processes and equipment setup.
  • Coordinate process, product, and equipment improvement initiatives across production and engineering teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience (7+ years) in injection molding operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of molding processes, materials, equipment, and tooling design.
  • Proven project management and process improvement experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and correct process inefficiencies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with production, maintenance, and engineering teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and provide leadership in a fast-paced environment.
