Job Summary:
- We are looking for a Process Engineer to drive environmental sustainability and efficiency improvements in our plant. This role involves managing data, projects, and initiatives to minimize waste, reduce water and utility usage, and maintain compliance with wastewater regulations.
Job Duties:
- Develop and manage reports on losses and wastewater.
- Initiate and lead waste reduction, water conservation, and utility savings projects.
- Create innovative methods to track and analyze product loss data.
- Monitor daily wastewater and product loss data.
- Lead capital projects related to utilities, water systems, and wastewater treatment.
- Manage relationships with wastewater treatment officials, contractors, and utility suppliers.
- Collaborate with Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) Manager to submit required reports.
- Oversee the work of a junior Losses and Wastewater Engineer.
- Optimize processes to reduce high solids streams and identify water and product savings opportunities.
- Focus on improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biosystems, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in the food industry or environmental-related roles.
- Strong data analysis skills and a passion for sustainability.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Understanding of wastewater operations, functionality, and chemistry.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
