Job Summary:
  • We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to take charge of the comprehensive management and continuous enhancement of our factory's utility systems. In this role, you will oversee the technical aspects of the systems that power the factory while leading and guiding the team responsible for their operation. The primary objective of this position is to ensure seamless operations and regulatory compliance. Successful execution of this role hinges on exceptional team leadership, active team engagement, and an unwavering dedication to utilities.

Job Duties:
  • Possess extensive knowledge of industrial energy generation systems, including water distribution, process heating, steam, compressed air, chilled water, cooling water, electrical distribution, wastewater treatment systems, and water system chemistry control programs.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise information exchange across the organization.
  • Embrace a culture of accountability and make data-driven decisions to achieve operational results.
  • Display strong leadership skills and promote a safety-conscious environment within the utilities team, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, plant safety rules, and programs such as LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and risk assessments.
  • Utilize Unilever Manufacturing System (UMS) tools to foster a culture of continuous improvement, actively engaging employees in cost and operational enhancement projects.
  • Manage assigned budgets for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of site utility systems, ensuring efficient financial utilization.
  • Provide guidance and expertise in conducting root cause analysis for safety, operational, or maintenance issues.
  • Drive planned maintenance activities and efficiently respond to breakdown maintenance in designated areas.
  • Collaborate effectively across the organization, engaging with teams in Maintenance, SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment), and strategic third-party organizations within the factory.
  • Support and adapt to a 24/7 operational environment, potentially requiring on-call availability.
  • Assume full responsibility for planning, managing, and overseeing all aspects of assigned projects on a daily basis.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) or equivalent education, with proven practical experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in FMCG or a related industry, or experience gained from a consultancy company.
  • Exposure: Demonstrated experience in utilities system engineering, design, and/or operation.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Preferred prior supervisory experience.
  • Strong technical expertise in plant utility systems.
  • Proficiency in project management and/or maintenance.
