Title: Plater
Location: Chicago, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Shift:  1st (6AM- 3:30PM)
Salary: $60k-$65k/yr.

Sterling Engineering is looking for a Plater for a leading manufacturers of electrical switches, automotive components and electrical power components in Chicago, IL. This is a great opportunity to work with a company that is very big on promoting from within.

Job Duties:
  • Supporting Rack and Barrel Plating operations
  • Racking, Wiring, loading and unloading of parts on racks or barrels as required
  • Inspect parts to make sure they are free from plating defects such as irregular appearance, blisters and adhesion issues.

Qualifications:
  • Must have plating/metal finishing exp (electrolessplating preferred)
  • Basic math skills required
  • Knowledge of basic method of hazardous waste handling and disposal
  • Knowledge of Basic Chemistry a plus
  • Forklift Experience preferred
  • Ability to learn and operate X-Ray and Beta back scatter
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
