Title: Plater
Location: Chicago, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $60k-$65k/yr.
Sterling Engineering is looking for a Plater for a leading manufacturers of electrical switches, automotive components and electrical power components in Chicago, IL. This is a great opportunity to work with a company that is very big on promoting from within.
Job Duties:
- Supporting Rack and Barrel Plating operations
- Racking, Wiring, loading and unloading of parts on racks or barrels as required
- Inspect parts to make sure they are free from plating defects such as irregular appearance, blisters and adhesion issues.
- Must have plating/metal finishing exp (electrolessplating preferred)
- Basic math skills required
- Knowledge of basic method of hazardous waste handling and disposal
- Knowledge of Basic Chemistry a plus
- Forklift Experience preferred
- Ability to learn and operate X-Ray and Beta back scatter
- Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
