Title: Plant Maintenance Manager
Hire Type: Direct Hire

Location: San Antonio, TX
Pay Rate: $120K-$145K DOE plus bonus potential up to 15%
Job Summary: Will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance PM and equipment repairs for a food manufacturing plant. Hire, develop and manage all maintenance labor and budgets. Work with all management to develop, justify, propose, and execute capital projects.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the EHS committee to maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Maintain facility/production line conditions to meet established GMPs and Food Safety Regulations.
- Establish and maintain departmental SOPs to achieve production goals.
- Monitor production line efficiency and quality, communicating continuously with the production team.
- Create, manage, and track budget accounts for utilities, equipment repairs, machinery supplies, outside services, and maintenance labor.
- Collaborate with production manager and plant scheduler to meet production needs and changes.
- Provide leadership as a member of the management staff, coaching maintenance employees as needed.
- Manage/coordinate quotes from vendors and oversee outside contractors working on the facility, building, or equipment.
- Serve as a backup for the Maintenance Supervisor in their absence, managing Lead Maintenance Techs and their subordinates.
- Serve as a backup for the Plant Manager in the absence of the Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications:
- Previous Food Manufacturing experience.
- 5 to 7 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, preferably in engineering or a related field.
- Proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP; PLC programming would be a plus, as well as SAO PM experience.
- Analysis reporting tied to key department metrics.
- Strong Knowledge of developing preventive maintenance procedures.
- Drive continuous improvements in collaboration with Corporate engineers and local supervisors.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Analyze CDC/DPR production data, prioritize improvement opportunities, and seek innovative ways to conserve energy and reduce costs.
- Ensure safety audit tasks are prioritized and completed.
- Monitor/manage capital projects.
- Possesses mechanical troubleshooting skills, financial/business acumen, innovation, directing and developing others, and effective communication (written and verbal).
- Ability to multitask, manage time, set schedules, prioritize assignments, and maintain accountability.
- Strong leadership skills to work effectively and interact with others, providing guidance when necessary.
- Solid problem-solving skills.
