Job Summary:
  • We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering and maintenance operations within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This individual will oversee capital projects, equipment installations, and process improvements while managing and developing a high-performing engineering team. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem solving, who thrives on driving safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Job Duties:
  • Provide leadership and direction to the engineering and maintenance teams to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations.
  • Oversee all aspects of capital projects—from planning and budgeting to execution and completion—ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Manage equipment installations, modifications, and maintenance to optimize production efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Develop and mentor staff to strengthen technical capabilities, performance, and engagement across the department.
  • Implement and maintain work systems, procedures, and KPIs to drive continuous improvement and support business objectives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, R&D, Quality, and Safety) to ensure alignment on priorities and effective project execution.
  • Maintain compliance with all food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, equipment, and methods to enhance plant capabilities and performance.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment (confectionery or snack industry preferred).
  • Broad technical knowledge including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, process air, packaging systems, and controls.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple projects, budgets, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Flexible work hours with ability to evaluate off-shift operations as needed.
